On 2006 Nesbitt signed with Major Management in New York and moved to the same city to pursue his modeling. Then on Jan 2007, he was featured on the cover of Italian Vogue, alongside Sasha Pivovarova and Missy Rayder, photographed by Steven Meisel. June of the same year he became a part of the Walks the spring Calvin Klein show in Milan. He also was given the chance to work with Steven Klein for Dolce & Gabbana and also modeled for Dolce & Gabbana catalog.
